World of Warships: Legends Coming to PS4 in 2019

Earlier today, Wargaming announced that one of their biggest titles would be making its way to consoles, when World of Warships: Legends launches for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One sometime in 2019. The game, which has been on PC for some time, provides players with the ability to take part in 20th-century naval warfare much like the World of Tanks franchise does for ground combat.

So far, no other information about the console release of the game has been revealed. Wargaming did say, however, that more will be shown of the game at Gamescom 2018, which is set to take place on August 21 – 25, 2018. In the meantime, the company is currently planning to begin Alpha testing the game next month, and players interested in joining it can find out more details by visiting the World of Warships website.

Q. What is World of Warships: Legends?

Engage in naval battles while commanding destroyers, cruisers and battleships all the while balancing your firepower, maneuverability and ability to plan ahead.

You will move through tiers of ships trying out various legendary vehicles in the process and training your commanders to best accommodate available sets of weaponry and hull characteristics. Choose from two types of shells, launch torpedoes and outsmart your opponents. If you like blunt force, several ships will cater to your interests as well, be it destroyers that can stealthily approach the enemies or battleships with high risk/high reward salvos, which take a long time to reload, but wreak havoc if targeted well. Cruisers are the jacks of all trades that will be appreciated by players looking for a middle ground.

World of Warships: Legends is currently set to launch sometime in 2019.
