Weekend Rewind is PlayStation LifeStyle’s weekly wrap-up of the biggest news of the week. We’ll make sure you didn’t miss any of the biggest stories from the last week while providing a little bit of additional commentary and flavor.
This week was a big week for leaks. BioShock is rumored to be in development at a secret 2K studio. Doom 2 is rumored to appear at Bethesda’s E3 showcase. Watch Dogs 3 was leaked by clever questioning of Ubisoft’s own AI program. And a follow-up PlayStation 5 report laughs at the idea of the next Sony console releasing this year, saying 2019 at the earliest, but likely 2020.
This week was also God of War review week, and the game has been universally praised. Speaking of well-received games, Far Cry 5 is breaking sales records with more than five million units reported sold in the first week of release. Two more highly anticipated games–Darksiders 3 and Biomutant–won’t be at E3 this year because THQ Nordic is staying home to watch futbol.
Finally, Destiny 2 Warmind was announced as the second expansion for Bungie’s looter shooter, and Sony is reportedly building a new development team to work with an unnamed Sony studio on an unannounced project. Naughty Dog is rumored to be the studio in question, and speculation points to this new team taking over the Uncharted name so that Naughty Dog can move forward with other projects.

THQ Nordic Skipping E3
It's not uncommon for studios to skip a trade show here and there, but THQ Nordic missing E3 2018 means that some major games from their upcoming library won't be there either. Darksiders 3 and Biomutant might see some trailers or news announcements drop during that week, but the studio won't have a booth on the show floor.

God of War Reviews are in! It's Incredible!
Not only is the game amazing, it is currently tracking as the best PS4 game ever released (if you don't count GTA V's PS4 port). We can't really talk much about it except to say that it is well worth experiencing fresh with no spoilers. It's definitively a God of War game, but effectively takes the series to the next level.

More PlayStation 5 Rumors Surface
Following previous reports that the PS5 could release sometime this year, a follow up report laughed at those previous rumors, saying that a 2018 release is highly unlikely. This second report seems a lot more in line with the way the industry is moving at this point. Dev kits are probably in the wild, but it'll be another couple of years before we see the console released.

BioShock, Doom 2, and Onimusha Rumors Surface
BioShock, Onimusha, and Doom 2 all rumored not only in the same week, but on the same day? Some of these rumors hold a little more weight than others based on the sources, and they'll all probably release at different times, but that's three great games, and we'll probably see more on them relatively soon.

Destiny 2 Warmind Expansion Named and Dated
Along with announcing Destiny 2 Warmind, and setting it for release on May 8, Bungie also expanded the development roadmap, detailing extensive changes that will arrive to Destiny 2 by September. It's a pretty exciting look at the future of a game that has been plagued with a number of endgame problems.

Far Cry 5 Gets a Cult-like Following, Huge Success
Selling more than 5 million copies in a single week, Far Cry 5's cult-inspired antics have a cult following of their own. Ubisoft took some chances with this game and it seems to have paid off in terms of return for the company. Now we eagerly await the expansions.

Sony Building New Development Team
Sony's first-party PlayStation exclusive train isn't stopping anytime soon. Sony is putting together a new team of developers to work with a major Sony studio on an unannounced project. We're guessing they are creating a team to carry on the Uncharted name so that Naughty Dog can move forward with The Last of Us Part II and other projects.

10% may not seem like much, but every little bit counts. If you sign up for Spotify through your PlayStation, PS Plus subscribers get 10% off the subscription price. If you've been on the fence about jumping into premium, now might be the time to finally do it.

The Walking Dead: The Final Season Gameplay Looks Stunning
From the leaked footage from PAX East, it looks like Telltale made a huge overhaul to their graphics engine. It's just a short little look, and we're sure to see more in the next couple of months, or at least get a public showing at E3.

Watch Dogs 3 Leaked By Ubisoft's Own AI
Intentional Easter egg or legitimate slip-up? We wouldn't be surprised by either one. Either way, Watch Dogs 3 has been rumored for quite some time now, and it would be the perfect new game for Ubisoft to reveal at their E3 press conference.
