A brand new trailer for the upcoming Darksiders III has been released today, and if you happened to be around last week, you might have seen a lot of the footage already. While the trailer is fairly short, it ends with Fury coming face-to-face with a Lava Brute, the same enemy that we’ve seen her fight in a gameplay video last week.

The trailer isn’t entirely filled with older footage, however, as we do see Fury using her whip to cross platforms and take down other, smaller enemies. The trailer still looks like it takes place in that cavernous area that the gameplay video from last week did, so hopefully in the future we’ll see Fury fighting enemies in a different location. For now, though, it’s another great look at a game that fans have been waiting some time for.

Return to an apocalyptic planet Earth in Darksiders III, a hack-n-slash action adventure where players take on the role of Fury in her quest to hunt down and dispose of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Charred Council calls upon Fury to battle from the heights of heaven down through the depths of hell in a quest to restore humanity and prove that she is the most powerful of the Horsemen. As a mage, Fury relies on her whip and magic to restore the balance between good and evil. The expansive, Darksiders III game world is presented as an open-ended, living, free-form planet Earth that is dilapidated by war and decay, and overrun by nature. Fury will move back and forth between environments to uncover secrets while advancing the Darksiders III story.
Darksiders III is set to launch sometime in 2018.
