Mysterious Bandai Namco Title Revealed to be My Hero Academia Game

Earlier today, the latest issue of Weekly Jump has revealed that the countdown website for a mysterious new Bandai Namco game will be My Hero Academia: One Justice, and it will be releasing on both the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The countdown website – which is still currently live – has yet to update itself and still claims to have 4 days remaining, but it seems like Re: Zaregoto has managed to get their hands on the latest Weekly Jump and confirmed that the game was a My Hero Academia-themed title.

Currently, no information regarding the game has been released, so we have no how idea how much the game costs or when it will be releasing, but according to USGamer, the first official trailer for the game will be shown off at Jump Fiesta 2018, an annual convention about all things anime and manga, which will run from December 15 to December 17, 2017. We’ll make sure to update you as more information is revealed.

For those who aren’t familiar with My Hero Academia, here’s a synopsis courtesy of My Anime List:

The appearance of “quirks,” newly discovered super powers, has been steadily increasing over the years, with 80 percent of humanity possessing various abilities from manipulation of elements to shapeshifting. This leaves the remainder of the world completely powerless, and Izuku Midoriya is one such individual.

Since he was a child, the ambitious middle schooler has wanted nothing more than to be a hero. Izuku’s unfair fate leaves him admiring heroes and taking notes on them whenever he can. But it seems that his persistence has borne some fruit: Izuku meets the number one hero and his personal idol, All Might. All Might’s quirk is a unique ability that can be inherited, and he has chosen Izuku to be his successor!

Enduring many months of grueling training, Izuku enrolls in UA High, a prestigious high school famous for its excellent hero training program, and this year’s freshmen look especially promising. With his bizarre but talented classmates and the looming threat of a villainous organization, Izuku will soon learn what it really means to be a hero.
