Report: Creative Assembly Working on the Studio’s Biggest Multiformat Project Ever

Alien: Isolation developer, Creative Assembly, has published job vacancies specifically for a new IP on its careers page. According to PCGamesN’s sources, this will be “the biggest multiformat project Creative Assembly has ever undertaken.”

No further details are available at this time but the job listings do give some hints about what the new IP will entail. The key responsibilities for Senior Meta Game Designer include “designing and implementing the game’s Meta framework, including economy, progression and retention methods, leaderboards, challenges, world building and events.” And the Lead Systems Designer role involves “developing the core gameplay systems, such as weapons, movement, abilities, gadgets, health and other underlying gameplay systems.”

A third job listing for the new IP is that for a Lead Technical Artist.

Back in March this year, SEGA acquired Crytek Black Sea and renamed it Creative Assembly Sofia. Reports suggested that a new Alien game is in development at the company but some publications attempted to debunk the rumors via their own sources, stating that although the developer is working on a new game, it won’t be an Alien title. We were also told that the upcoming IP is still in early development.

Neither SEGA nor Creative Assembly commented on the reports.

We’ll update our readers when we have more info.
