Check Out Ten Minutes of New DOOM VFR Gameplay

We’re only a month away from the release of DOOM VFR, the virtual reality enabled version of DOOM, and to celebrate, a whopping 10 minutes of new footage of the game have been released.

The footage (above) is pretty standard, showcasing the player moving throughout the world via what looks like virtual reality’s default “teleportation” method – pointing where you want to go and clicking – while also taking down a ton of demonic foes. The footage does a good job of giving us a look at what we expect when the game does release, and from the looks of it, it will be a really tightly made shooter for VR devices.

For those who might not be aware, check out some of the key features and a brief rundown of what to expect when DOOM VFR launches next month:

Story:

Set shortly after the demonic invasion on the UAC’s Martian research facility, you are the last known human survivor – until your death. Under a top-secret UAC operational contingency protocol, your consciousness is transferred to an artificial brain matrix. Your designated purpose: restore operational stability and use any means necessary to stop the onslaught of demons.

 Key Features:

  • Experience DOOM combat and its iconic weapons and demons from an entirely new perspective
  • Physically interact with the DOOM universe as you seamlessly traverse across the UAC facility and Hell using teleportation and jet-strafe movement
  • Explore all-new UAC Martian research facility areas and discover the unique abilities of a cybernetic UAC security operative

DOOM VFR is slated to launch on December 1.
