Sony made an exciting announcement for sports fans during their Paris Games Week 2017 press conference. They announced that a new tennis title was coming to PlayStation 4. Called Tennis World Tour, the title will be a simulation title that’ll bring all the exciting court action to PS4 gamers. There hasn’t been a major tennis release on PlayStation 4 yet (besides the PS2 rerelease of Hot Shots Tennis), so this will definitely fulfill a niche. The new trailer showed that Tennis World Tour is set to release in Spring 2018. The professional tennis simulation title is also set to release on Xbox One, and PC in the future.
Check out the debut trailer of Tennis World Tour below:
Tennis World Tour is being developed by Breakpoint, a studio that is filled with employees that have worked on tennis games in the past.. It will have a full career mode for players to compete in, and 30 real-life pro tennis players have been confirmed for the game. The developer features several veteran game designers including Pierre André, who worked on the Top Spin series previously.
Tennis World Tour releases in Spring 2018 on PlayStation 4. It’s also coming to Xbox One and PC, but it’s not yet known if it’ll release on all systems at the same time.
