Update: Malka has issued an official statement.
Original Story: Tyler Malka, the owner of popular gaming forum NeoGAF, is facing allegations of sexual assault. A Facebook post claims that Malka, who is better known online as his username “Evilore,” was a mutual friend that went on a road trip with her down to New Orleans. She alleges that once in New Orleans, she got sick, went to take a shower, and then Malka decided to join in without any consent (the two were not in a relationship at the time). These aren’t the first time that Malka has faced allegations of sexual assault, as his own blog post about a trip to Spain led people to question him after he admitted in 2012 to grabbing a woman in a club while drunk.
Due to the situation, several longtime moderators have stepped down. I’ve managed to confirm that even more moderators are planning to leave the site in the near future. While there’s a staff exodus, the site itself has gone into a state of self-implosion, as people are currently trying to one up themselves in an attempt to get banned from the site. These types of threads were being removed earlier, but now many have stayed up since the site doesn’t seem to have an active moderation team at the moment.

Here are the latest allegations against Tyler “Evilore” Malka, which were posted on Facebook four days ago:
I remember a man, who claimed to be my friend, going on a road trip to New Orleans.
In NOLA we drank and had fun and one night we had been drinking in our hotel room and I got sick.
I was throwing up and decided to hop in the shower to feel better.
I was surprised when he got into the shower, fully naked, behind me.
I had a boyfriend at the time and didn’t think I had given him any reason to believe I wanted this. I don’t cheat.
So I told him that it wasn’t ok[ay], that I was sick, that I had a boyfriend, that I didn’t want that.
He got out and slowly started resenting me, being mean to me, ignoring me… in a city he drove me to.
I couldn’t wait to get home.
I couldn’t tell my partner for fear that he would claim I led him on.
My relationship with my boyfriend suffered and we broke up soon after that.
I couldn’t come out about this situation because the perpetrator is a semi famous man who would have retaliated and I couldn’t afford to defend myself.
There are websites dedicated to this persons sexual assault history.
I didn’t know.
I was scared.
I was tired.
I still can’t post his name out of fear. Fear for a film he acted in for me. Fear of ridicule. Fear of not being believed.
I don’t want to be silent anymore.
I will post stories until I don’t feel like it anymore.
And there are so many.
In the comment sections, one of her friends asked for a name. “Not right now. I don’t wanna go back there. I don’t want him to ever contact me. I got lucky,” said the victim. “F**k it. Google Evilore,” she later added.
NeoGAF mods said earlier today that Tyler Malka was preparing a statement on the sexual assault allegations. That hasn’t gone up yet (if it does, we’ll add it to the story). Meanwhile, the site has been up and down throughout the day, with it being down for an hour earlier for “scheduled maintenance.”
We’ll have more on the story as additional details emerge.
