Two new Partner characters have been revealed for the upcoming RPG Code Vein, Jack Rutherford and Eva Roux. We don’t quite know what role these two will have in the story yet, but more is sure to be revealed in the upcoming days. Thanks to Gematsu for translating the news.
Here’s what Gematsu had to say about the new characters:
Jack Rutherford (voiced by Junichi Suwabe) is a Revenant with the nickname Revenant Hunter, feared by enemies and allies alike. What is his connection to the protagonist?
Eva Roux (voiced by Saori Hayami) is a female Revenant indebted to Jack for saving her life. She and the protagonist have conflicting viewpoints, but you will fight alongside her.
Additionally, hardcore Japanese rock band VAMPS will be contributing music to Code Vein. Here’s a video for that announcement:
In case you’re not on the up and up on Japanese rock bands, Bandai Namco has a short history on VAMPS:
HYDE (L’Arc~en~Ciel) and K.A.Z (Oblivion Dust) joined together in 2008 to form VAMPS, and have released 13 singles and 4 albums to date. VAMPS have performed at many indoor and outdoor events, both in Japan and overseas. 2016, saw them sign a deal with the leading American management company 10th Street Entertainment, and they have been expanding progressively in both their music production and number of concerts overseas. Following the recent release of the album “Underworld”, the duo are constantly on tour including Japan, US and Latin America.
Code Vein will release in 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
