ARK Survival Evolved Launch Trailer

ARK: Survival Evolved Launch Trailer Features Lots of Dinosaurs, an Otter & a Phoenix

After a last-minute delay, ARK: Survival Evolved is set to fully release on August 29 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. In the launch trailer, Studio Wildcard gives you a look at the gameplay and dinosaurs of ARK, as well as the first in-game footage for the Otter and Phoenix.

On launch day, the oft-delayed Ragnarok update will finally come to PS4 and Xbox One, adding the Ragnarok map and the Griffin. Here’s what the development team had to say about Ragnarok:

Ragnarok is expanding into the South West region of the map where it’ll be opening up the playing field by adding a near 25% (the size of The Island) additional playable landmass including: large islands, lots of flat-lands to build, a new experimental free range Wyvern cove, temple ruins, a meteor crash site, underwater passages, as well as a mini Tasmania Australia as we call it.

After mentioning how “the past two years have been one heck of a journey for all of us,” and there’s already been millions of ARK players, Studio Wildcard explained that this is just the beginning:

Come August 29th we’ll be entering the next phase of our journey and exit early access. Players who have been with us throughout this early access program and were excited with the launch of each update have even more reason to be excited post-launch! ARK will continue to grow with new content at launch and beyond as we continue to have a behemoth amount of additional gameplay, creatures, and story elements in the works. The adventure has truly only just begun!

Included in the $99.99 USD Explorer’s Edition is the ARK: Survival Evolved Season Pass, which grants access to all expansion packs, starting with Scorched Earth (out now) and continuing with more packs later this year and into 2018.

Are you getting ARK next week?
