Final Fantasy XV Update This Month Will Bring Chapter Select, Monster of the Deep Dated

Square Enix made several Final Fantasy XV announcements today, including one about the August update, which will bring Chapter Select and a Bestiary to the game. You can see each feature for a couple of seconds at 1:12 of the above video.

In terms of Final Fantasy XV DLC, you can expect Multiplayer Expansion: Comrades in fall 2017 and Episode Ignis in December 2017.

Next up is Monster of the Deep: Final Fantasy XV, which will launch on November 21, exclusively for PlayStation VR. Here’s the description:

In this brand-new VR experience, players will head out on a fishing expedition with Noctis and his crew across picturesque locations in Eos. The Story Mode places players in the middle of an exhilarating and action-packed showdown with a menace that lurks in the depths, while the Free Fishing Mode allows players to take in the the sights, sounds and scenery through a variety of fishing challenges.

Pre-orders for Monster of the Deep will go live tomorrow (price TBA), and the pre-order bonuses from the PlayStation Store include a custom dynamic theme and in-game Samurai Outfit.

Square Enix also revealed that Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition is coming to PC in early 2018, and Final Fantasy XV Pocket Edition is hitting iOS and Android devices in fall 2017.
