In a new trailer today from Activision, Call of Duty: WWII’s Headquarters mode is shown off, giving you a brief look at the activities you’ll find in the social space.
“Warm up in the Firing Range, prove you’re the best in the 1v1 Pit, watch Call of Duty esports matches live in the Theater, man the AA guns to earn rewards, and much more in Call of Duty’s first-ever dedicated social space,” they said.
The latest issue of Game Informer (via Charlie Intel) revealed that developer Sledgehammer Games is working on keeping Headquarters updated with dynamic elements. These include forcing players to use anti-air weaponry to defend against an airborne attack.
If you pre-ordered WWII digitally through the PlayStation Store, pre-loading for the beta is now available. If you pre-ordered from a retail store, codes should be sent out soon. On PlayStation 4, the Private Beta will run August 25 to 28 and September 1 to 4. That’s plenty of opportunities to play, so make sure you find the time to check it out if you’ve got access to the Private Beta!
While you’ll get to play multiplayer, Headquarters mode won’t be in the Private Beta. Activision explained the decision earlier this month by saying that they were “testing the match-making of this all-new social experience, but access to this space will not be active during the Multiplayer Beta.”
Game Informer’s coverage of WWII also included an exclusive tour of the Gibraltar map:
