PlayStation Paris Games Week Media Showcase 2017 Takes Place October 30

It’s no longer a rumor, as Sony has officially announced that they’re holding a PlayStation Paris Games Week Media Showcase later this year. The press conference will take place at 17:00 local time on Monday, October 30. Those that attend the event will be able to get through the doors two hours prior, but the event will be streamed online for those not local to Paris.

PlayStation surprised many by having a major press conference during Paris Games Week in 2015, but skipped doing the same in 2016. Last year it was PlayStation VR that took center stage for the console maker, as they showed off Robinson: The Journey, Until Dawn: Rush of Blood, Battlezone, and Tekken 7. Besides that, we also got a view at a lot of games that still aren’t out in 2017. Gran Turismo Sport got unveiled, Dreams received a blast of gameplay, Michel Ancel went on stage to give a demo of WiLD, and Quantic Dream’s Detroit: Become Human was premiered via a cinematic trailer. Finally, players also saw a bunch of footage for games that actually released in a timely manner, as Paris was when we saw our first look at Uncharted 4 multiplayer, saw gameplay of Horizon Zero Dawn, and saw more of Gravity Rush 2. If 2015 was any indication, there should be some big games shown off on October 30.

The PlayStation Paris Games Week Media Showcase will take place Monday, October 30 at 17:00 local time.
