.hack//G.U. Last Recode Will Get North American Physical Release

Fans of physical media can rejoice today as Bandai Namco announced that a .hack//G.U. Last Recode physical release is in the works for North America. A physical release was already planned for Europe and Japan, so it’s good to see that every territory will be able to choose whether or not to get the game digitally or physically. Last Recode is a compilation of CyberConnect2’s three .hack//G.U. titles: Rebirth, Reminisce and Redemption. They’ve been remastered to now run at a 60fps frame rate, and display at a 1080p resolution (with native widescreen support).

Here’s the official announcement courtesy of Bandai Namco:

BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc. today confirms that .hack//G.U. Last Recode will receive a physical edition for the PlayStation4 computer entertainment system. This is in addition to the previously announced digital versions for the PlayStation 4 system and STEAM. Pre-orders for the physical edition of .hack//G.U. Last Recode will begin today at participating retailers. .hack//G.U. Last Recode will be available throughout the Americas in 2017.

hack//G.U. Last Recode collects the three .hack//G.U. action-RPG titles; Rebirth, Reminisce, and Redemption with updated 1080p resolution, 16:9 widescreen picture, and 60fps frame rate, gameplay balance changes, and additional features to be announced at a later date making this collection the definitive .hack//G.U. experience for fans and newcomers alike.
.hack//G.U. Last Recode is currently planned to release later this year for PlayStation 4 and PC. The physical edition can be pre-ordered now at select retailers, and will launch alongside the digital version of the action role-playing games.
