Evo Japan 2018 Announced for January, Eight Games Confirmed

Evo 2017 is almost over, and it’s been a pretty amazing show. If you don’t want to wait an entire year until the next installment of the world’s premiere fighting game tournament, then I’ve got good news. In January, Evo will be holding Evo Japan 2018. The fighting game tournament will take place in Tokyo, Japan, and will run from January 26 through 28. That’s three more days of fighting goodness to kick off the new year.

So far, eight games are announced to be shown at the event. They are the following: Tekken 7, Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2, The King of Fighters XIV, BlazBlue Central FictionSuper Smash Bros. for Wii UARMS, and Street Fighter V. That’s a great selection of games, with all but two being available on PlayStation 4. It’ll also be interesting to see how the Nintendo Switch title ARMS is received amongst the crowd. It’ll certainly make for a unique viewing experience.

Check out the official Evo Japan 2018 trailer below, where you can see all eight games in action:

The official website for Evo Japan 2018 can be found here, although it’s currently still under construction. Once details on the venue, and how to get tickets, become available we’ll be sure to post an update.
