The Tomorrow Children Servers Shutting Down on November 1

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that The Tomorrow Children servers will be going offline on November 1, 2017 – just over a year after it officially launched.

As Sony explains on their help website, the free-to-play PlayStation 4 title will be completely unplayable after November 1:

As you have to be online to play this title, you will not be able to play the game at all after 1 November 2017. This means the title and any DLC become unplayable from 1 November 2017 and you will not be able to use any virtual currencies or consumables after that time.

The Japanese PlayStation website reveals that The Tomorrow Children will be taken off the PlayStation Store on September 28, and Share Play will be unavailable after September 28. It remains to be seen if it will extend to North America/Europe, but a sale on the Frontier Pack and Freeman Dollars will begin on July 7.

The Tomorrow Children development team said:

There is only a short amount of time remaining, however The Tomorrow Children development and operations team hope that you can all continue to enjoy our title until the end of service. And we would like to extend our thanks and best wishes to you all who continue to enjoy and play our game.

Other recent titles to have their servers taken offline include Dead Star, Kill Strain, WWE 2K16, and ModNation Racers Road Trip.
