Street Fighter EX Studio Bringing New Game to EVO 2017 in Playable State

Street Fighter EX developer, ARIKA, is coming to EVO 2017 along with its new game in a playable state.

The studio teased something back on April Fools’ Day (video above), which many understandably thought was a joke. It wasn’t. The “mystery fighting game” appears to be using the same build that was used in that video, with Hokuto, Kairi, and Galda from Street Fighter EX being playable characters. You can check out the latest announcement below, straight from ARIKA’s Facebook page (verbatim):

ARIKA Co., Ltd. will exhibit in EVO 2017, the world’s largest fighting game event that held during July 14 through 16 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

We will bring its “The mystery fighting game competition April fools’ day free play event” from Akihabara, Tokyo to EVO 2017 in order to meet a hot love calls by users in abroad.

Free play event will be held at our booth (#111) during 2 days on July 14 & 15 only.

We plan to develop newer version that implement new system called “GOUGI(強氣)” as location test so that we would like to feedback from players.

* We would like to have a survey from US customers by internet
* Playable characters will be 3, Hokuto, Kairi and Galda
* Limited number due to 1 playable station
* 2 visitors play at same time
