Update: God of War is officially releasing in early 2018.
Original Story: God of War is part of Sony’s E3 2017 lineup, and new details are expected to be announced at their press conference tonight, but it looks like YouTube Gaming may have leaked a key piece of information early.
As you can see in the image above, they list God of War for release on Tuesday, November 28, 2017.
It remains to be seen if YouTube Gaming’s date for God of War is accurate, but it’s worth noting that their dates for other games like Far Cry 5, Middle-earth: Shadow of War, and Call of Duty: WWII are accurate.
Earlier this month, a user on NeoGAF said that the God of War E3 demo was a “scripted proof of concept” and it’s “gonna miss this holiday and next January by many months.” Asked for his take on the comment, Game Director Cory Barlog said, “I say what I said before – nonsense.”
We should know whether or not the God of War release date is true shortly after 6pm PT/9pm ET tonight. It’s also where we’ll likely hear more about Detroit: Become Human, as this teaser shows:
