According to a t-shirt spotted at GameStop (via Le Verità dell’Animus), the protagonist of Assassin’s Creed Origins will be called Ba Yek or Bayek. Additional images of the t-shirt from ComicBook.com include the game’s name and time period (49BCE).
Shortly after the t-shirt was leaked, Ashraf Ismail, who is the “Game Director on an unannounced project” (Origins hasn’t been officially announced yet) and previously directed Black Flag, went on Twitter and said, “Nice t-shirt.”
Assassin’s Creed Origins will release by March 31, 2018, and an official unveiling should happen soon, given that Ubisoft’s E3 press conference takes place on June 12 – less than two weeks from now.
Today also appeared to see the leak of a trailer for Assassin’s Creed Origins, but it would seem the video in question is a fake.
