Update: More images of the Gold PS4 Slim have popped up on Reddit by users Sliye and Christopher_Maxim, this time from Target and Walmart.

Sliye says it should be out on June 9, while the image from Christopher_Maxim hints at a possible price drop for the console to $249.99 USD:

Original Story: According to an image from Reddit user marmaro8, Sony is preparing to launch a 1TB Gold PlayStation 4 Slim console. After another Reddit user pointed out that the image is from a Target, marmaro8 said the release date could be June 9 – just a few days prior to E3 2017.

As you may recall, Sony began offering the 1TB PS4 Slim in North America this past April for $299.99 USD/$379.99 CAD, so that could be the price of the Gold PS4 Slim. They also partnered with Taco Bell in 2015 to give away a Gold version of the older PS4 model.

Currently, you can buy a Gold DualShock 4 exclusively from GameStop/EB Games Canada for $64.99 USD/$74.99 CAD. GameStop’s website notes that their exclusivity period for the Gold DualShock 4 expires at the end of this month.

If/When Sony officially announces the Gold PS4 Slim, we’ll let you know.

What do you think of the gold color?
