Following some teasers, Nippon Ichi Software has announced Shin Yomawari for the PlayStation 4 and PS Vita. It’s a sequel to the developer’s 2015 title, Yomawari: Night Alone, which released in the West last year.
The game was unveiled in the latest issue of Dengeki PlayStation. Shin‘s protagonists are two young girls named Yui and Haru and a synopsis of their story is as follows (translation courtesy of Gematsu):
In order to see the end of summer vacation fireworks in the neighboring town, Yui and Haru went out to the mountains. On the way back home, the two are accidentally separated and get lost. They roam around in search for each other, but an ominous night town has spread out before them. Will the girls be able to safely reunite?
We’re told that the sequel’s world will be twice the size of its predecessor and players will be able to explore more locations than before. Monsters and strange creatures will be lurking around at night. While some will be harmless, merely touching others will result in “Game Over.”
Shin uses the same camera style as the original but will switch to side-view in some parts.
Any of our readers excited for this one?
