Out now in North America, and coming to Europe on Friday, The Silver Case remaster for PlayStation 4 has an issue where the new additional chapters are inaccessible for players, even after beating the game, Game Informer reports. Publisher NIS America is aware of this issue, and says they’ll release a patch “as soon as possible.”
The first new chapter, Yami, takes place several months after the last chapter and serves as a conclusion to the game. The other chapter, White Out Prologue, occurs afterward with a team leap, and links The Silver Case universe with Suda51’s episodic sequel, The Silver Case: Ward 25.
Possibly featuring spoilers, here’s further details on the new chapters:
White Out Prologue
A short-but-sweet prologue that occurs years after the events in The Silver Case, and links the story and builds up the lore to Suda 51’s episodic sequel, The Silver Case: Ward 25.
Yami
A slightly larger scenario that takes place months after the last chapter of the game, serving as a conclusion of the initial game. This occurs during the Placebo section, where you see the murder mystery investigation from the viewpoint of freelance journalist, Tokio Morishima.
You can read our review of The Silver Case over here, where we said, “Regardless of its setbacks, the PS4 release of The Silver Case is a unique and complex experience that could easily draw in those who are open to playing something undeniably strange and different.”
