Yesterday, we got our first close look at Star Wars Battlefront II‘s new character, Iden Versio. In case you haven’t figured it out already, the role is being played by Janina Gavankar whose past projects include True Blood, The League, and 2014’s Ubisoft title, Far Cry 4, in which she played the role of Amita.
“Finally, I can confirm: I have the honor of playing Inferno Squad Commander Iden Versio in Star Wars Battlefront II,” she wrote on Twitter.
As for the writers, many of our readers might recognize the name Mitch Dyer. For those who don’t, he was an editor at IGN who later joined EA and has now revealed that he’s been working on Battlefront II for the past year alongside Spec Ops: The Line‘s lead writer, Walt Williams.
In a series of tweets, Dyer expressed how happy he was to work with Williams and Gavankar among others. “The Motive team at home is working on sensational stuff. We can’t wait. DICE and Criterion are impressive studios, like wow wow wow,” he said in one tweet.
PlayStation LifeStyle was at the Star Wars Celebration event so stay tuned for some more coverage.
