As part of the launch day blog post for Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, it was revealed that developer People Can Fly will receive 100% of the revenue from the first 100,000 copies sold. After that, the publisher, Gearbox Publishing, will receive a cut, but “the actual majority of all revenue generated by this release is going to People Can Fly.”
The post goes on to say that the success of Full Clip Edition on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC will help People Can Fly determine the future of the franchise:
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is the path for People Can Fly to gauge the future of the Bulletstorm brand in the current gaming landscape, and determine the future of the franchise for a Bulletstorm 2.
People Can Fly President Sebastian Wojciechowski added:
Everyone at People Can Fly is thrilled to be bringing Bulletstorm to a new generation. The team has given their all to make this the best Bulletstorm experience for gamers. This franchise is one that is especially important to us, and we’re glad to be able to be bringing it to gamers around the world.
If you didn’t pre-order Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition, the Duke Nukem’s Bulletstorm Tour DLC can be purchased separately for $4.99/£3.99. As you can see in this video, the developer is working to polish voice-over sync quality:
Our review went up earlier this week, where we said, “Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a fun trip down memory lane. A bloody, violent, slick memory lane. While the game is showing its age even (or perhaps especially) when upscaled to 4K resolution, the fun of the original shines through.”
