During a December 2016 episode of THWIP! The Big Marvel Show, Ryan Penagos, Vice President and Executive Editor of Marvel’s Digital Media Group, said Insomniac’s Spider-Man PS4 is releasing in 2017.
Previewing Marvel games coming in 2017 (1:28 of the above video), Penagos said, “… and there’s even more on the horizon for 2017, like Spider-Man coming to PlayStation 4, and Marvel vs Capcom Infinite coming to Xbox One, PS4, Windows PC.”
Penagos’s quote recently made the rounds when it was highlighted on Reddit. Asked for comment, Sony said to IGN, “We don’t comment on rumor or speculation.”
Developer Insomniac Games addressed the news on their Twitter account, saying a release window hasn’t been announced yet:

Asked about the status of Spider-Man PS4 last month, Insomniac said, “Not cancelled, being worked on every day.”
