Telltale Games has just released the first official trailer for its latest “The Telltale Series” game featuring Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. The first episode of the series is set for release on April 18, 2017.
The trailer shows of some of the game’s story and, of course, its roster of characters including Star-Lord, Drax, Rocket, Groot, and Gamora. Thanos also makes an appearance in the trailer. According to Telltale games, the series will feature a new and original story. Here’s how they describe it:
In the wake of an epic battle, the Guardians discover an artifact of unspeakable power. Each of them has a reason to desire this relic, as does a ruthless enemy who is the last of her kind, and who will stop at nothing to tear it from their hands.
From Earth to the Milano to Knowhere and beyond, and set to the beat of awesome music, you wear the rocket-powered boots of Star-Lord in an original Guardians adventure, where your decisions and actions drive the story you experience.
As previously mentioned, the first episode of the series will be released on April 18, 2017 with the rest of the episodes, five in total, following at different points this year.
