Sony Is Cancelling More South Park: The Fractured but Whole PSN Pre-Orders

As is commonplace when games suffer delays, Sony has cancelled PlayStation Store pre-orders for South Park: The Fractured but Whole and refunded players.

According to the email sent out by Sony, those affected will still be able to keep their pre-order bonus copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth for PlayStation 4:

Dear [PSN user],

Thanks again for your pre-order of South Park: The Fractured but Whole from PlayStation Store.

We recently informed you that there is no new confirmed release date for South Park and unfortunately we are still unable to confirm a release date. Therefore we have regrettably decided to cancel and refund your pre-order, however we’re pleased to tell that you are able to keep the copy of South Park: The Stick of Truth for free.

Your payment will be refunded to your payment method in the next 7 – 10 days unless you paid using a voucher code, PaySafe or mobile phone billing, in which case your payment will be refunded to your wallet in the next 7 – 10 days.

If you paid by a combination of credit card and wallet top up your payment will be refunded partly to your credit card and partly to your wallet in the next 7 – 10 days.

Once again, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused and if you need any further assistance then please drop us a line.

Kind Regards,

The PlayStation team

Sony first cancelled The Fractured but Whole pre-orders when it was delayed from December 2016 to Q1 2017. This second round of cancellations, which began a couple of weeks ago, follows Ubisoft’s decision to further delay The Fractured but Whole into the next fiscal year (April 1, 2017 to March 31, 2018).

South Park: The Fractured but Whole is still available for pre-order through the North American PlayStation Store (and still includes The Stick of Truth), but it isn’t up on the European PlayStation Store.
