Mafia III Update 1.07 Today Preps for Tomorrow’s Faster, Baby! DLC

With Faster, Baby! coming out tomorrow, March 28, developer Hangar 13 has released a new Mafia III update for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC that weighs in at 5.2GB – 8.8GB, depending on your platform.

Hangar 13 hasn’t released patch notes for the update, but one player on the 2K Forums says it includes most of the files for Faster, Baby!, as well as proximity mines and the ability to throw grenades while driving and slow down time while driving (see them in action at 2:58 of the video). There also appears to be five new vehicles: Eckhart Champion, Bulworth Aspen, Lassiter Nightcrawler, Bulworth Mohican Scout, and Berkley Freerider.

After installing the update, Sinclair Parish will appear on the map, but it’s currently blocked by a rock slide. You’ll need to own Faster, Baby! to access it, and Hangar 13 says it will be available at 9pm PT today/12am ET tomorrow.

Faster, Baby! is included in the $29.99 USD Mafia III Season Pass. A standalone price has yet to be announced.

True Achievements shows that there’s 10 new Trophies/Achievements included with Faster, Baby!. Four of them are secret, while the others ask you to reach the Max Herbalism level, fully upgrade the Grow House, sell a single batch of weed for $10,000 or more, destroy 10 of Slim’s re-election billboards, kill 30 enemies using Proximity Mines, and successfully trigger 10 Vehicle Traps.

The next pieces of DLC for Mafia III, Stones Unturned and Sign of the Times, are scheduled for release in May 2017 and July 2017, respectively.

According to a post on the Hangar 13 Facebook page, they’re currently hiring for their “next unannounced title.”
