Free-To-Play MMORPG Tera Coming to PS4 & Xbox One in 2017

A free-to-play MMORPG with over 25 million users on PC, Tera is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in 2017, En Masse Entertainment announced today. A date hasn’t been announced for the Closed Beta yet, but you can sign up over here if you’re interested.

Described as “the only MMORPG with True Action Combat,” Tera will have a redesigned and rebuilt control scheme on consoles “to ensure a responsive and visceral combat experience.” The user interface is also getting an overhaul for PS4 and Xbox One, with developer Bluehole keeping the controller and living room viewing distances in mind.

Here’s the description for Tera:

Developed by Bluehole and published in North America by En Masse Entertainment, Tera is an award-winning MMORPG released on PC, and soon on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, that takes the fight beyond the genre’s traditional point-and-click combat systems with enhanced aiming, dodging, and tactical timing to create an intense and rewarding combat experience. Explore a vast fantasy world rich with history, lore, and danger. Battle epic monsters. Make new friends and allies in a vibrant online community of like-minded adventurers navigating Tera’s social, political, and economic structures. With over 25 million registered users globally, Tera continues to gain traction with fans through its active community and support.

En Masse CEO Sam Kim adds, “Everyone at En Masse Entertainment and Bluehole is putting an incredible amount of effort into making sure that console players have the best Tera experience possible, and can enjoy the wide range of content the game has to offer.”
