Torment Tides of Numenera PS4 review

Torment: Tides of Numenera Fixes Are Coming Says InXile Boss

Torment: Tides of Numenera has been out for a week now and it’s mostly been met with positive reviews (check out our review here). But those playing the game on the PlayStation 4 aren’t all having a smooth ride as everyone else. Many have encountered technical issues such as the game crashing, unbearably long load times, frame rate drops, jerky animation, and game-breaking bugs.

All is not last for Torment on the PS4 though as the game’s producer Brian Fargo has told Eurogamer that they’re aware of the issues and are already working on updates.

We are aware of the frame-rate dropping down on a few of the larger areas with Torment and we are on the case working on a solution. The game is still quite enjoyable but we will continue to provide updates to improve the experience, as we do with all our games.

Fargo did not specify if the studio was working on fixing all the issues currently plaguing the PS4 version of the game or when the updates would be released.

Torment: Tides of Numenera is the spiritual successor of Planescape: Torment, one of the most critically-acclaimed role-playing games of the ‘90s. Torment: Tides of Numenera is one of the most successful video game Kickstarter campaigns of all time, reaching its goal in just six hours and achieving a pledge of over $4 million.
