Since the release of Horizon Zero Dawn‘s reviews, there has been a lot of conversation about the current lineup of exclusives for both, the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Some fans took to Twitter to press Xbox boss Phil Spencer on the topic following the lifting of Horizon Zero Dawn‘s review embargo, which comes not too long after the high profile cancellation of Xbox-exclusive, Scalebound. In response, he said that “good games shipping are a positive for the industry” and that we should “celebrate them.”
“Forza Horizon 3, Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Civilization 6, Horizon Zero Dawn, Overwatch etc all make gaming better,” he continued.
Elsewhere, Spencer expressed confidence in Microsoft’s first party studios, stating that the company will continue to work hard to deliver.
Horizon Zero Dawn releases worldwide next week. The game has earned a high level of praise (our review here) from critics across the board.
