Elder Scrolls Online Now Has 8.5 Million Players, Let It Die Crosses 2 Million Downloads

In two separate reports today, we’ve learned that ZeniMax Online Studio’s The Elder Scrolls Online now boasts 8.5 million players and Grasshopper Manufacture’s Let It Die has crossed two million downloads.

The Elder Scrolls Online‘s latest numbers come via a press event that MMORPG.com attended. According to the website, game director Matt Firor confirmed that the updated number is based upon units sold and not upon registered accounts. We’re also told that the players are split “fairly evenly” among all platforms. Worth noting that around E3 last year, The Elder Scrolls Online had seven million players.

Elsewhere, Gematsu has translated a post by GungHo Online Entertainment, announcing that Grasshopper’s Let It Die has crossed two million downloads worldwide. Launched in early December last year, the free-to-play PlayStation 4 exclusive had surpassed one million downloads after a month of release.

Have our readers tried either or both of the games?
