If you missed the Assassin’s Creed movie at theaters this past December, then you’ll be able to watch it at home starting this March. Ubisoft has announced that the Michael Fassbender starrer will be available via Digital HD on March 10, with Blu-ray and DVD releases following on March 21. You can purchase them on Amazon here if you wish.
The movie doesn’t follow any particular story line from the video games. Here’s a synopsis:
Through a revolutionary technology that unlocks his genetic memories, Callum Lynch (Michael Fassbender) experiences the adventures of his ancestor, Aguilar, in 15th Century Spain. Callum discovers he is descended from a mysterious secret society, the Assassins, and amasses incredible knowledge and skills to take on the oppressive and powerful Templar organization in the present day.
Assassin’s Creed also stars Academy Award winner Marion Cotillard (The Dark Knight Rises, La Vie en Rose).
