Enjoying the 3rd best Week 1 in franchise history (RE5 is first, RE6 is second), Resident Evil 7 debuted at #1 last week in the UK, selling 73% of its copies on PlayStation 4. As GfK notes, Resident Evil is Capcom’s most successful brand in the UK, sitting just outside the Top 30 all-time brands and seeing around the same revenue as Crash Bandicoot and Just Dance.
Other new releases last week include Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue in 3rd, Yakuza 0 in 8th, Tales of Berseria in 14th, and Digimon World: Next Order in 24th. The Glacier White PS4 console also launched last week, accounting for roughly 25% of all PS4’s sold.
