Capcom Teases Street Fighter Surprises, Likely Coming at E3 or Comic Con

Capcom is planning a surprise or two for its Street Fighter fans to celebrate the series’ 30th anniversary this year. Speaking to IGN, producer Yoshinori Ono hinted at E3 2017 and San Diego Comic Con reveals.

Around E3 timing, maybe even San Diego Comic-Con, we have one or two surprises we hope our fans will look forward to.

30th anniversary celebrations have already kicked off with Capcom announcing Ultra Street Fighter 2 for the recently unveiled Nintendo Switch. He also reminded fans that the developer is still updating Street Fighter V, which will get its Season 2 content this year.

IGN points out that those who played Dead Rising 4 on the Xbox One found some Rival Schools Easter Eggs, prompting them to ask if we’ll see something pertaining to the classic fighting game. Unfortunately, Ono said, “I’ll let you know that the surprises this year are not going to be Rival Schools.”
