Weighing in at just 9MB on PlayStation Vita, and “slightly” more on PlayStation 4, the day one update for Fate/Extella: The Umbral Star is now available to download.
As Marvelous Games explains, Fate/Extella update 1.01 makes spawning Artoria slightly easier by removing the time requirement. The PS Vita patch notes for the update add:
- Several bugs fixed
- Game text updated
- Conditions to engage Artoria in battle changed; now she doesn’t appear only when playing between 15:00 and 16:00 h.
Fate/Extella released today in North America, and will arrive in Europe on Friday, January 20. According to the PlayStation Store listing for Fate/Extella on PS4, the game’s a 2.5GB download. The PS Vita listing says it’s a 1.3GB download, and the Early Bird edition includes an exclusive theme and Gilgamesh’s exclusive Cold-Blooded Warden outfit.
Here’s the description:
Experience lightning-fast battlefield action across an epic story! In the digital realm of SE.RA.PH, the Holy Grail War is over, but the land’s new ruler faces challenges and threats from all sides. Those Servants who survived the war now find themselves drawing up tense and unlikely alliances, preparing for a conflict that may tear SE.RA.PH apart…or destroy it entirely.
Fate/EXTELLA: The Umbral Star brings together renowned scenario writer Nasu Kinoko, original creator Takashi Takeuchi & character designer Aruko Wada, a TYPE-MOON original music soundtrack, and accompanying Japanese-language voice acting provided by the likes of Sakura Tange, Mamiko Noto, Ayako Kawasumi, Rumi Okubo, Maaya Sakamoto and many, many more. Characters from Fate/stay night, Fate/Apocrypha and Fate/Grand Order appear, each with their own skill set and play style, ready to engage in frantic, powerful combat, deploy breathtaking ‘Noble Phantasm’ attacks, and welcome both newcomers and returning fans.
There’s lots of costume DLC up on the North American PlayStation Store (the Week 1 Mega Bundle is $14.99 and includes cross-buy), and Marvelous Games says dates for the costume DLC in Europe will be announced this week.
