Conan O’Brien’s Clueless Gamer Segment Is Getting Turned Into a Series

In an interview with the Hollywood Reporter, TBS President Kevin Reilly addressed the recent rumors that Conan would become a weekly show, saying, “At this time, we have no plans to change the format or frequency of his popular TBS show.”

However, TBS has “very ambitious plans that will further broaden and evolve our relationship with Conan.” This includes a new series called Clueless Gamer, which will enter production next month and is based on Conan’s segment where he plays and makes fun of games, sometimes with celebrities. “We’ve gotten to the point where video game companies are sending us their new product for us to play and make fun of because it’s been such a huge success,” Reilly added. “We’re going to go into production on a series of that.”

Reilly continued by talking about how Conan has the youngest audience profile of any talk show host on TV, and he has 30 million people watching his videos online. Just on YouTube, all of the Clueless Gamer videos have a combined 24.1 million views.

A report from the Hollywood Reporter says Conan will executive produce Clueless Gamer, but he won’t host. A host will be announced in the future.
