The Fox Innovation Lab has announced that an Alien: Covenant virtual reality experience is coming to “major VR platforms” in 2017 as a paid app. Directed by David Karlak and executive produced by Ridley Scott, it’s being created by the Fox Innovation Lab in collaboration with RSA Films and MPC VR.
Taking you on a “a dread-inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe,” the Alien: Covenant VR experience will see you discovering the true meaning of horror as you “navigate through horrifying alien environments and a story where every decision could mean the difference between life and death.”
Specific platforms, the price, and a release date weren’t given, but it’s worth noting that Alien: Covenant hits theaters on May 19.
The previous release from the Alien: Covenant VR experience developers, The Martian VR Experience, came to PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift last year for $9.99 USD.
