2016 has been a huge year for Io-Interactive’s Hitman. The episodic game has exceeded all expectations in its first season, and became one of the year’s most talked about titles. This is largely thanks to the staggering amount of support the game has received all year, and it’s not about to stop just because there’s only a few hours left in 2016.
Starting today, December 30, the stealth game’s last elusive target of the year is now available. In this special mission, Agent 47 has to travel to Bangkok in order to kill a food critic named Wen Ts’ai. This elusive target will last for seven days, and Ts’ai is joined by private security guards.
If you haven’t already picked up Io-Interactive’s return to form, you’ll be glad to know that Hitman will be getting a physical release on January 31. Hitman: The Complete First Season will retail for $59.99, and will contain the game’s first six episodes. Those that pre-order the game will receive the Requiem Blood Money pack which includes the following exclusive items to be used in-game:
- Requiem Legacy Suit
- Blood Money Shirt, Tie, Gloves,
- Silenced ICA-19 Chrome
- White Rubber Duck Explosive
In our review of the first episode of Hitman, PlayStation LifeStyle’s Paulmichael Contreras had this to say:
There’s so many ways to take on this single mission, part of the fun will be seeing other players’ creative ways that they assassinate the targets. If you’ve ever wanted to play the part of a super agent in a large sandbox, this is as good as it gets. With a fairly robust content creation engine, and future missions promised throughout the coming year, it looks like Hitman will be the weapon of choice of stealth gamers for the foreseeable future.
