After capturing the Christmas #1 in the previous week, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was back on top in the second to last week of 2016, and GfK Chart-Track expects it to finish the year in first, much like Advanced Warfare and Black Ops 3 did in 2014 and 2015, respectively. However, Games Industry notes that Infinite Warfare is trending 45% behind Black Ops 3.
Although Watch Dogs 2 is lagging behind Watch Dogs in sales, it’s actually trending 100,000 units ahead of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, which is partly due to a price drop this month. Steep, meanwhile, is also benefiting from a lower price, rising in sales yet again. However, the action sports game has yet to crack the 100,000 sales mark in the UK.
Here’s the top 20 best-selling games through retail stores in the UK for the week ending December 24, 2016, according to GfK Chart-Track:
- Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare (up 37%)
- FIFA 17
- Battlefield 1

- Mafia III
- Steep (up 60%)
