After Black Ops 3 did it in 2015, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare was able to capture the Christmas #1 in 2016, “comfortably holding off” FIFA 17, which placed in 2nd.
Further down the charts, Watch Dogs 2, Dishonored 2, and Steep saw increased sales week-over-week, all finishing in the top 10. Things weren’t as good for The Last Guardian and Dead Rising 4 though, as they each slipped 13 places and ended up in 20th and 18th, respectively.
Overall, the pre-Christmas week in the UK saw just over one million games sold at retail, which is down more than 20% year-over-year.
