The second game from GameStop’s publishing label, GameTrust, De-formers is launching on February 14, 2017 in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, developer Ready at Dawn (The Order: 1886) announced today.
In addition to a digital version, De-formers will have a physical version available exclusively through GameStop for $29.99 USD. There’s also a physical Collector’s Edition for $39.99 USD that includes the soundtrack, a steelbook case, four vinyl figures, and three stickers. Pre-ordering either version through GameStop gets you a DLC pack with exclusive characters.
The game itself is described as a “third-person smash ‘em arena combat game featuring fast and frantic gameplay,” with a focus on multiplayer and online play. Controlling Forms, you battle in arenas by rolling, jumping, dashing, shooting, throwing, and defending against the other Forms. By damaging your opponents, you can pick up and consume Tribs, which allow you to become bigger and strong. As the new video highlights, you can also customize your Form.
Here’s some of the features in De-formers:
- Multiplayer Mayhem – Face off with up to 3 other players in split screen mode, or play online in battles with up to 8 Forms.
- Grow Your Form – When you defeat enemies, they’ll drop goo that you can absorb and use to power up, grow, or refill your ammunition.
- Creative Destruction – Power-ups, like the ultimate Rampage ability, allow your Form to wreak havoc on your opponents.
