PSX 2016 – Free-to-Play Actioner Dreadnought Announced for PS4

Promising titanic space battles and “Earth-shattering” weapons, Dreadnought is a free-to-play action title bound for PS4 in 2017.

First showcased during Sony’s keynote presentation at PlayStation Experience, Six Foot’s sci-fi actioner touts 50 space vessels split across five distinct classes: heavy, assault, sniper, support, and scout. If you’re eager to get a taste of the team-based, ship-to-ship action ahead of release, the studio also confirmed plans to host a closed beta in 2017. You can sign up here, while the official Dreadnought description reads as so:

A newly minted mercenary captain, you are driven by a simple motivation: victory, and the glory that comes with it. Whether you’re fighting to claim a dry dock in deep space or defending an ice harvester on the surface of a small moon, you will live by a single mantra: “Death is fleeting, but glory is everlasting!”

What do our readers make of the Dreadnought reveal trailer? Six Foot’s title will released as a PS4 console exclusive in 2017.
