PS4 Update 4.06 Now Out

In case you don’t have your PlayStation 4 set to download patches automatically, you might want to turn your console on, as PS4 update 4.06 has now been rolled out by Sony.

Clocking in at 312MB, the system update brings in more of that system stability support that Sony loves to roll out fairly frequently. Well, not exactly, “improves the quality of the system performance” is another way of phrasing it.

Main features in version 4.06 update

  • This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.

You can download the file from your browser here, just in case you want to update your PS4 via USB. Of course, there is a chance of this PS4 update actually bringing something new, or making something more efficient. But seeing as that’s all the update notes state, we’ll have to find it on our own — if there’s any at all.

For those that downloaded it, did you notice anything new? Speaking of new, we posted yesterday that the PS4 SDK update might allow users to change their PSN names.
