Already downloaded more than 1.5 million times across Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices, adventure game The Deer God is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita in Q1 2017, Blowfish Studios and Crescent Moon Games announced.
Taking you on a journey of spiritual reincarnation where the hunter becomes the hunted, The Deer God is set in a 3D pixel art world with procedurally generated landscapes. After a hunter gets mauled to death while hunting a buck, he comes face to face with The Deer God and gets reincarnated as a fawn. Returning to his world, the hunter must survive by exploring, completing puzzles to unlock skills and abilities, and avoiding hunters and other dangerous enemies.
The description adds, “Players are granted one life and feed to replenish their health. As fawns progresses through the day and night cycles in the game, they mature, allowing them to mate with doe and have offspring. Each fawn that is born offers players another life, should they die.”
Blowfish CEO Ben Lee says, “The Deer God delivers an exciting and moving experience within a gorgeous world with Metroidvania-like gameplay. It is an honor to bring a game enjoyed by so many gamers to the PlayStation community.”
A PlayStation price wasn’t given for The Deer God, but it’s $14.99 USD on other platforms.
