Free Outlast 2 Demo Available on PS4, Xbox One & PC for a Limited Time

Outlast 2 won’t be released until Q1 2017, but you can play a part of it today, as developer Red Barrels has brought out a free demo on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The demo will only be available until Tuesday, November 1, so make sure you grab it from the PlayStation Store (North America, Europe) while you can.

A 5.1GB download on PS4, the Outlast 2 demo offers a “sneak peek at what Red Barrels have been working on for the last few years.” Red Barrels says more features and environments will be unveiled in the coming months.

You can watch a PS4 playthrough of some of the demo in the above video, with our E3 2016 preview over here.

Red Barrels also suggests checking out the Outlast comic book series, The Murkoff Account, which bridges the gap between the first and second games. So far, two out of the five issues have been released.
