The King of Fighters XIV Lead Designer, Hidetoshi Ishizawa, has provided some details about what will be included in the upcoming fighter’s day-one patch.
In addition to PlayStation 3 controller support, SNK will be tweaking the game’s online component and making some balance updates, according to a translation of Ishizawa’s tweets provided by mmcafe.com. It’s unclear whether the online tweaks apply to the game’s netcode or just its online modes.
In related news, Game Designer Hayato Watanabe announced during the KOFXIV Dream Match Exhibition Tournament that Fuzzy Guard/F-Shiki, which was discovered in the demo, wasn’t meant to be in the game. The developers are currently figuring out how to remove it, and will do so in a patch at a later time.
The King of Fighters XIV is out on Tuesday for the PlayStation 4 but copies are already out in the wild, thanks to retailers who have broken its street date.
