Armikrog PS4

Kickstarter Funded Armikrog Will Release on PS4 Next Week

Armikrog, the clay-mation adventure game for PC, will release for PlayStation 4 on August 23, 2016 in both North America and in Europe.

This clay-mation game was created with “old school stop motion” clay animation, meaning that they literally created every frame of capture with puppets and handmade sets. Lance James, the Community Director at publisher Versus Evil, explained a bit more about the painstaking process Pencil Text Studios utilized to mold their clay.

Every single level, every single character, and all of the things you will see in Armikrog actually existed in our tiny studio where we had to basically run through the game frame by frame — it was a major production. With the help of some amazing voice over talent including Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), Rob Paulsen (Pinky and the Brain), and Michael J. Nelson (Mystery Science Theater 3000), the creative genius of musician Terry Scott Taylor who produced the game’s soundtrack, plus a volunteer team of industry experts, we were able to bring this world and its incredible characters to life.

The game was originally created with PC in mind, so the team brought in Grip Digital to translate the game mechanics to the DualShock4 controller. They specifically wanted to implement in the touchpad on the controller, allowing players to use it like a mouse or as a d-pad for solving puzzles.

Armikrog will cost $9.99 in the US. At this time, the PlayStation Store for Europe has not listed the price.
