Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced its partnership with Sweden-based Tarsier Studios to publish “Little Nightmares,” a game about confronting your childhood fears. For those aren’t aware, Little Nightmares is the new name for Tarsier’s “Hunger,” which was first unveiled two years ago. In a press release, the publisher said:
Little Nightmares presents a dark yet whimsical tale that will have players confront their childhood fears as they help a girl dressed in a yellow raincoat escape the jaws of The Maw – a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal!
Tarsier’s Deputy CEO said that the developer was “thrilled” to work with Bandai Namco who has been passionate about helping them make Little Nightmares “everything it can be.”
Platforms weren’t announced but Tarsier, who are also behind LittleBigPlanet on Vita, previously said that “Hunger” would be headed to the PlayStation 4. More details will be revealed at gamescom 2016 so we’ll find out if anything changes following the deal with Bandai Namco.
