Evo 2016 is in full swing and to celebrate the occasion, Capcom has revealed plans for new Street Fighter V DLC that will in turn help fund the prize pool for the Capcom Pro Tour.
Word comes by way of the publisher’s official blog, confirming that “Capcom Cup Collection” costumes are now available for both Chun-Li and Cammy. They’re priced at $6 each, with a third, “mystery” costume to be unveiled later this year. Details remain thin on the ground for the latter, though the post teases that “fans will be really excited about what this means for Capcom Cup 2016 once we officially unveil it.”
Should you want to take those new costumes out for a whirl, the Capcom Pro Tour-themed stage, Ring of Destiny, can be picked up for $10. That arena will be tweaked throughout the year to reflect the events that transpire during the Capcom Pro Tour. Both Ring of Destiny and the aforementioned costumes can be picked up in one bundle for $25.
Beyond that, Game Director Takayuki Nakayama outlined “nostalgia” new add-ons in development for the mascot brawler, which harken back to Street Fighters 2 and 3. Ibuki and Alex, for example, are primed to get new outfits based on their Street Fighter 3 attire.
No release timeline for the DLC was disclosed at this time, but we’ll keep you posted if and when Capcom presents additional details.
